Children’s Ministry
Welcome...To the Children’s Ministry program at Monte Sano United Methodist Church. We are so glad your family has decided to come and join the fun with the Mountain Climbers. If you have little ones they can become part of our fun. For Sunday church, we have a Nursery, Infant Room, Toddler Room and an outdoor playground. The Sunday School Program is at 10:00 am for infants through 5th graders. The program promotes our ministry which exists to lovingly reach children and parents, to connect them with other Christians, to help them grow in their faith, to challenge them to love, and serve others, and to honor God with their daily lives. We sponsor a Cub Scout Pack, as well as Brownie and Girl Scout programs. We also have other great activities and special events for parents and their children, kids choir & drama, mission events, and the annual Easter egg hunt for the whole community. Vacation Bible School is held each summer. It is a week of exciting activities for children ages 4-12.
The Nursery
is open Sunday mornings from 8:50 to 12:10, for children ages 6 weeks through 3 years. We provide a loving environment where all the children are cared for by our qualified nursery leaders.
The Infant Room
is equipped with cribs, pack-n-play, changing table, and provides privacy for breast feeding mothers.
The Toddler Room
is filled with equipment and toys appropriate for children who are walking through 3 years of age. There are also child-sized restrooms for those children undergoing potty training. Your toddler will have fun while the leaders of this group will have group activities that help the children learn and grow in their faith.
The Outdoor Playground is used only by children attending the nursery and is securely fenced and entered directly to and from the nursery.
In order for our Nursery Team to provide your child with the best care possible, we ask for your help with the following: Please bring a diaper bag supplied with at least 2 diapers, change of clothes, and if needed, a filled bottle. Please be sure to clearly label your child’s diaper bag, bottle/sippy cup, and other special items.
If you are a visitor, please complete a visitor card and the Nursery Leader will sign-in your child and give you a pick-up number. Visiting children will only be released to the person who signed the visitor card. If you are a church member or regular attendee, your child’s name should be on the sign-in sheet, just initial the time beside child’s name. For the health and safety of all, we kindly ask that children who have experienced the following in the past 24 hours not be brought to the nursery:
1. Fever
2. Vomiting or Diarrhea
3. Persistent runny nose
4. Persistent cough
5. Open skin Infection
6. Pink eye
